What is Ainsworth Art?
Ainsworth Art is the brainchild of Mary Ainsworth, Artist and Lecturer from Manchester, UK. Ainsworth Art is the perfect place to find bespoke Art work for your home, for gifting or just as a treat for yourself!
Mary’s work focuses on Original Oil Paintings, however she also incorporates pencil portrait sketches, into her creations. Multi-disciplined, Mary explores other forms of art including Creating Tapestries which are a bespoke textile practice.
You are able to explore hand drawn original illustrations as well as prints too.
Her work has been displayed in multiple exhibitions in North Wales and has sold Art work across the UK.
The work you see on the website is a election of works readily available, however Mary also work’s on a commission basis, fill in the contact form to find out how you can commission your very own bespoke works!

How can I trust buying on Ainsworth Art?
We know that safety and trust are really important to you and being frequent online shoppers ourselves we take it seriously. When you purchase an item on Ainsworth Art, we keep your card details safe and we make sure that each and every purchase you make is hand prepped with love.
You have your own account on the website if you choose to sign up and you have access to my direct email address and Instagram DMs for any queries you may have regarding your purchases or commissions.
How do Commissions work?
Commissions can be ordered via direct email, the contact page on this website or on Instagram DM. The process of ordering a commission is important as it is essentially a consultation of your needs.
Commissioning a work means you are applying for a bespoke piece of art work tailored to your needs. This process involved discussing your needs, size requirements, colour palettes and compositions. It may incorporate looking at reference materials, and inspirational content in order to outline exactly what you need.
Commission pricing is different to ready made works as they are made to order. Price will be offered on application of commission once needs have been discussed.
Do you offer framing services?
Framing services will be offered, the price of this will be added to the final cost.
Some works will not always be posted framed due to shipping costs.
Deep edge and regular edge canvasses can have float frames, whereas paintings on specialist paper will need proper frames with bespoke glass.
More information will be given to you during the process of ordering when it comes to framing. Because services are outsourced to specialist framers pricing structures are bespoke to every order. These will be invoiced as part of the final cost of the commissions.
Framing on ready made art works will need to be consulted on. Please contact me via email, or the contact form about the specific work you are interested in, outlining what you need in regards to specific frames. Each Art work has specific dimensions you can see on the individual product listings for you to reference when planning your home space.
Account
Am I required to register before I purchase?
You can checkout as a Guest or as a Member; being a member allows you to track purchases, and have a specific place for your downloads.
Subscribing to our newsletter will also help you to find out about sales and offers before anyone else!
Being a member also allows you to safely and securely save your payment history so it is quicker for checkout on future purchases.
How do I change my personal details?
Log into your personal account in order to change the following details:
- Password
- Billing Address
- Shipping Address
- Payment methods
I forgot my password, how can I get a new one?
Simply press Forget Password to reset a new one.
Can I make my own wishlist? Where can I see it?
Yes! If you like a product just click on the heart icon below the product. This will automatically save it to your list, which you can find under the My Account Tab on the header menu. This will take you to the Wish List page where you can manage your favourite items, add them to cart or remove them. A great way to keep up to date with what is available in the studio and be the first to grab your perfect piece!
Buying
What forms of payment does Ainsworth Art accept?
We area accepting Debit Card payments and bank transfers only.
How do I pay for commissions?
Commissions are on a first come first served basis.
Slots will be given to those who get in contact first. Commissions include anything from oil paintings, illustrations or other works that are not ready to buy.
To pay for a commission, you will be invoiced and expected to pay a 50% deposit. This percentage can be altered depending on the total fee of the order.
Orders can be paid in full at the outset of ordering, alternatively, payment plans can be put in place, on a bespoke to you basis.
Shipping and framing costs are not included in the fee of the artwork, they are additional and invoices will be itemised.
For commissions only based on payment plans, all outstanding fees MUST be paid before the work is shipped. This is non-negotiable.
Once the work is complete, and the final payments have been made (including framing and shipping where applicable) the work will be ready to be shipped.

Are my payments secure?
All orders are encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology on both your end and ours. SSL encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. In order for SSL to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser.
Buying on Ainsworth Art
When you purchase a product the once the payment is fully cleared, the product will be shipped. Please see shipping information separately.
Any commissions that are ordered will be invoiced. This invoice will be payable via bank transfer only, and will be itemised.
You can save your payment methods only if you are a member.
How do I check the status of an order?
In the members area you will be updated with your orders and all of the information that goes with it. Specific shipping information will be shared when you purchase your item.
For commissions you will receive personal communication from the Artist via the platform you are communicating on, regarding the tracking information for the delivery of your purchase.

Refunds and exchanges
Refunds – Ready to buy work:
Refunds and exchanges need to be requested through this email address: ainsworthart@outlook.com
Refunds or exchanges will not be accepted if the painting has been altered or damaged.
Refunds and exchanges will be at the discretion of the artist.
Refunds on Bespoke or Personalised items
Refunds and exchanges are not available for bespoke or personalised items. This is final.
Refunds or exchanges are not available on commissions.
If you have made a deposit payment on a commission, and the work has not been started, refunds will be made at the discretion of the artist.

Shipping & Return
Shipping Processes
Ready to buy products depending on size are delivered by Royal Mail, these are insured, tracked and signed for in order to ensure your item arrives on time and you have the tracking details to see where your parcel is.
Commissions will either be sent the same as above or will be sent via specific courier. The cost of this will be sent via invoice. All outstanding fees must be paid before the work is sent.
Shipping costs will be calculated at check out for all ready to buy work.
Which countries do we ship to?
We are happy to ship internationally, however you will need to contact me directly with a link to the work you wish you purchase. This will then be treated as a bespoke commission in terms of payment processes. All payments must be made before the work is shipped, including postage and packaging fees.
Postage and packaging for international orders will be at an increased rate depending on the location and size/weight of the work.
How much will the delivery cost me?
This is subjective depending on where the package is sent from and its destination. Also the size of the product and delivery type (standard or express) will affect the price. Delivery costs are clearly stated on the checkout page while buying.
*Some countries may charge customs and duties for your parcel. You are responsible for these customs and duties charges.
How long does it take normally for an order to arrive?
The delivery time depends on the distance and delivery option selected. We offer regional to worldwide shipping depending on the product. The expected delivery time will be communicated depending on the delivery option.
For Bespoke Orders, please account for crafting time. This will be discussed during the consultation process.
Most orders made will be sent as guaranteed next day delivery by 1pm. ALL orders will be sent with tracking information. This is non-negotiable.
Packaging
At Ainsworth Art we like to give you a beautiful experience so packaging is bespoke to all art works.
All paper based works are gift-wrapped. This can be personalised to the recipient, alternatively it can be wrapped at the artists discretion. We believe that this element of the creative process is just as important as the work itself. After all we want to give you an Experience at Ainsworth Art.
Larger scale artworks will be packaged in accordance with protective measures so the work arrives perfectly to your door.
Privacy & Policy

Ainsworth Art may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name. Ainsworth Art may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your age and gender. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
